John Kirk Auctioneers (JKA) is located in Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal in the heart of the province's beef country. Its directors and shareholders are John Kirk and Doug Immelman. John has a wealth of experience as an auctioneer, particularly in the livestock industry and has over the years become a well respected and much liked expert in the field and on the rostrum. Doug was originally involved in the construction and property development industries and more recently has been practicing as an independent project manager. His business experience is widely varied and complimentary to those of John.
In July of 2007 an opportunity was recognised to provide a value-added auctioneering service in the Dundee and surrounding areas and a company was registered which trades as John Kirk Auctioneers. It was expected to be a relatively difficult market in which to launch the new venture but the opposite proved to be the case. The firm, and John Kirk in particular were immediately offered wonderful support by many members of the farming and urban communities. The openness, honesty, professionalism and innovativeness of the firm has been recognised and embraced by its clients who have shown their much appreciated support in return.
More recently Wynand Lens joined the team as Marketing Advisor and soon demonstrated the value of his extensive experience and practical and social skills. Wynand has been intimately involved in the livestock industry for many years and hugely compliments the JKA team.
